WB Police Constable Eligibility 2024
Qualifications for the 2024 WBP Constable Recruitment To be considered for the West Bengal Police’s constable recruitment process, applicants must fulfill certain eligibility requirements. They ought to have received a passing grade on the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education’s Madhyamik Examination, or something comparable. Language proficiency in Bengali is also necessary. Selection Process
The following steps are part of the West Bengal Police’s selection procedure for WBP Constable positions:
Written Examination:
Time: One Hour
Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on OMR
Total Marks: 85
Subjects: General Knowledge (25 marks ), General Awareness
Elementary Mathematics (25 marks), English (10 marks),
Logical Analysis and Reasoning (25 marks)
Negative marking: one-fourth of the total score for every wrong answer.
Total Amount: Rs. 20
The application price is waived for SC/ST candidates (limited to West Bengal) but they still have to pay a Rs. 20 processing fee. During verification, they must present their SC/ST certificates; else, their candidature will be rejected.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
- Qualifying in nature
- Tests height, weight, and chest measurement (for male candidates) using Electronic Machines and measuring tape
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Qualifying in nature
- Candidates who pass PMT proceed to PET
- Timing of runners recorded using Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID)
- Only one chance is given to PET
Interview:
- Maximum Marks: 15
- All candidates who pass PET are called for an interview
- Tests general awareness, suitability for public service, and proficiency in Bengali/Nepali language
Final Selection:
- Based on marks obtained in the Written Examination and Interview.
