Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the BJP, accusing them of misusing the Electoral Bond Scheme to favor companies that donated to the party. Speaking at a UDF-organized public meeting in Kozhikode, Kerala, on Monday (15th April 2024) evening, Gandhi criticized the Prime Minister’s assertion that the scheme promotes transparency, highlighting the Supreme Court’s contrary view, labeling it illegal.
Earlier, while addressing a roadshow in Wayanad, Kerala, Gandhi criticized the BJP’s vision of ‘One nation, One people, One language, and One leader,’ stating it as a fundamental misunderstanding of India. He emphasized the importance of language as a link to civilization and denounced the notion of a single leader, considering it an insult to every young Indian.
During his campaign, the Congress leader also participated in roadshows at Sultan Battery, Pulpally, and Mananthavady, intensifying his stance against the alleged misuse of the Electoral Bond Scheme.
